The HASTE wing was built by HASTE Ltd- a limited company formed by the Trustees. The Company leased the land from the NHS, and under the Direction of Mr Peter Hutley managed to build an entire wing in 4 months, ready for the new MRI Scanner provided to the NHS Trust by the Department of Health

The wing was officially opened on 21st June 2005 by HRH Countess of Wessex

The new wing is attached to main outpatients of the Royal Surrey County Hospital. It contains:

	A large reception area, where information about heart disease and stroke will be displayed
	A front entrance with sliding doors with MRI and Cardiac Department Reception desk where a Receptionist will greet patients arriving for outpatient or MRI scan appointments.
	2 Clinic rooms
	Secretarial and Consultant offices
	Specialist Nurses Office (Coronary Syndrome, Heart Failure, Chest Pain Clinic, and Stroke Nurses)
	Reporting room for Cardiology and Radiology investigations
	Staff room
	Patient Changing areas
	Laboratory for Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography and Transoesophageal Echocardiography
	Doppler Room for conducting Carotid investigations (daily service to be launched in June 2005)
	Cardiovascular enabled and general Magnetic Resonance scanning opening May 2005

The HASTE wing is accessible through Outpatients 2 at the Royal Surrey County Hospital

It can also be accessed directly from the perimeter road and Public Car Park. There is a drop zone and parking directly outside for vehicles in possession of disabled badge.
